Bubba Gazoo is a new all-Australian company that was recently established in Sydney, Australia by founder Stacey Conomos.

Having had a great love of animals since early childhood, Stacey wanted to share her love of Australian animals with her young son in a fun yet educational way, but found that none of the products on the market had the focus she was seeking. So in November 2005, just 11 months after the birth of her first child Jack, Stacey decided to do something about it and embarked on her next production - the conception of Bubba Gazoo!

The first two products from Bubba Gazoo are a DVD and CD from the Bush Buddies series, which have been designed for children aged 6 months to 4 years.

The objective for Bush Buddies is to educate young children about Australian Animals in a fun and interactive way; and the segment "What Animal Are You?" featured on the DVD is designed as a play along and learn segment that teaches kids interesting facts about the animals.

Stacey has over 12 years of television experience in Commercial and Subscription television. During this time she worked on the national launch of the children's television channel Max, and co-hosted the national early morning kid's show "The Big Breakfast" alongside Tim Bailey.

Stacey's most recent television role was behind the camera. For 5 years she was the Creative Director at Movie Network and was responsible for the on-air look and feel of the three 24-hour national movie channels.

With an MBA and an Arts degree (including a double major in Mass Communication and Psychology), Stacey has successfully been able to combine her education, vast television experience and her latest role as a new mum, to create an exciting new concept in fun and education for young children.

Antony designed the 8 loveable Australian animal puppets that feature in the Bush Buddies series under careful instruction from Stacey. What started out as rough pencil sketches then colourful computer generated images, resulted in 8 original puppets all with their own unique personalities! With their characteristic short round bodies, large heads and big eyes, they have been created to look like they are a part of one big happy family! To maximise engagement with a young audience, all were specifically designed to resemble young animals.

Antony has had a keen interest in puppetry since early childhood. He has been making hand-puppets and marionettes, and putting on shows for over 35 years. His marionette puppets for an on-air promotion of Hey Hey it's Saturday won him an international Promax Award in Washington DC in 1995, and was a finalist in the prestigious New York Festival.

Antony has also designed sets for musical theatre and television, as well as creating hand-drawn animation for many television projects including the opening titles for Hey Hey it's Saturday, promos for The Price is Right and for Disney Channel and TV1.

Julian has been a successful and award-winning television promo producer for over 10 years. His love of the Australian bush and its band of inhabitants drew him enthusiastically towards the production of Bush Buddies. Julian has directed, shot & edited many TV promos, short films and music videos over the years for Channel Seven, Movie Network Channels, TV1 and MTV.

The 4-day camera shoot at Kangaroo Island for Bush Buddies remains a definate highlight having had access on such an intimate level to some of the most pristine national parks in the world. It allowed for up close and personal footage of some of Australia's best-loved animals.

Julian has recently moved the UK with his wife and 2 small boys where he is directing TV promos for Nickelodeon, Channel 4, Bruce Dunlop and Associates and Scandanavian broadcaster, Viasat.

Rajan was commissioned by Stacey to compose the original music for Bush Buddies. All tracks off the DVD and CD have been inspired from well known Australian songs and were specifically designed for repetitive play, enabling parents, grandparents and carers to use the DVD and CD to interact with their child over and over again.
